Strategic Buyer - Procurement

Job Summary: The Procurement Executive will be responsible for managing and coordinating procurement activities for Nestle Supply Chain & Co-Manufacturing Services located in Makati, Philippines. The incumbent will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services, while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. The Procurement Executive will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to optimize the supply chain and contribute to the overall success of Nestle's operations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with Nestle's objectives and budgetary requirements.

  2. Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.

  3. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and service level agreements.

  4. Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance on sourcing strategies.

  6. Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and address any issues or concerns to maintain a high level of service quality.

  7. Ensure compliance with Nestle's procurement policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements.

  8. Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including requisitioning, purchase order processing, and invoice reconciliation.

  9. Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation for audit purposes.

  10. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in procurement to drive continuous improvement within the organization.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the FMCG industry.

  3. Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.

  4. Familiarity with SAP or other procurement software systems is highly desirable.

  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

  6. Strong negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.

  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  8. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

  9. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  10. Professional certifications in procurement (e.g., CIPS) will be an advantage.
