The Cigna Group Strategic Program, Senior Manager in Singapore, Singapore

Reporting to the CEO of Singapore, based in Singapore. The key focus of the Strategic Program, Senior Manager is to oversee the planning, execution and implementation of complex and large-scale strategic initiatives, where s/he will provide recommendations and advices to top management on significant Program Management matters, often requiring coordination between internal and external parties.

Job Description:

  • Evaluate market forecast and long-term trends, work with business owners and senior executives to collect competitive intelligence, drive cross-functional business processes, and maintain business model innovation.

  • Synchronize strategies with Enterprise plans and interpret long-term plans into short term projects.

  • Run projects to look at strategic opportunities such as acquisitions, divestitures, new market entry, strategic alliances to support new business growth.

  • Conduct competitive analyses (qualitative and quantitative) and assessments prior to new market entry and presents insights and implications to business owners and senior management.

  • Evaluate acquisition opportunities and collaborate with IH Strategy and Business Development Team to make recommendations to Corporate Development

  • Works closely with the project sponsor, cross functional teams, and assigned project managers or workstream leaders to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new strategic initiatives.

  • Manages large cross-divisional or company-wide programs or processes. Interprets internal or external issues and recommends solutions/best practices. Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify solutions.

  • Responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling resources/processes to achieve project/program objectives within scope, time, quality, and budget constraints.

  • Oversees multiple projects and the life cycle of a programs, manage program and project teams for optimal return on investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives.

  • Supports the delivery of a strategic program by providing central expertise, governance, and control within or independent of a formal Program Management Office (PMO).

  • Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines. Recognized internally as “the go to person” for the most complex Program Management assignments.

  • Develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement, build metrics to measure the success of the program and implementation, and work with the CEO to adjust the strategic initiatives to adapt to the constant changes in the macro and internal environment.

  • Work with stakeholders to identify risks, opportunities across multiple projects within the organization, analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, produce program reports for managers and stakeholders.

  • Communicate strategy effectively throughout the company.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirement:

  • Masters / bachelor’s degree in finance, statistics, or related subjects

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a strategy or program management role

  • Good understanding of the healthcare industry and the ability to connect the dots

  • Broad exposure to different aspects of health insurance

  • Strong business acumen

  • Solid analytical and strategic skills (financial, planning, operational)

  • Proven ability to strategize and implement high-level program initiatives.

  • Strong talent for project coordination and delegation

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities.

  • Proven track record of optimizing productivity and nurturing program success from inception to completion.
